Wow.. No blog for a while, eh? Well that's because I've been playing the one, the only Hollow Knight: SIlksong! You thought it wasn't real, we were coping for 7 whole years but it finally came out!! From what I've played so far, Silksong is amazing. Not perfect, but amazing. The 7 years were worth it. The map is much bigger than Hollow Knight's map could ever wish to be, with a massive variety of areas spanning from mossy greens to holy golds. I haven't even completed the game yet, but I know it is on of, if not the best game I've ever played. The gameplay, however.. It's actually pretty good, despite what people are saying. This game is difficult as hell, though. Almost all bosses do double damage, and even the environment can sometimes do double damage. You might be able to see the problem if you've played Hollow Knight. There's not really much point to only get four mask shards for one extra mask, making 6, as six masks still only takes three double-damage hits to die.
On the other hand, the music is immaculate. My favorite has to be Choral Chambers, I mean it makes your pilgramage feel so worth it, all of those deaths and you're finally there. As soon as I defeated Phantom and stepped out of the Grand Bellway, I knew this game had so much to show me I hadn't even seen in a video game. Keep in mind, this game was developed by THREE PEOPLE. THREE. This game, which is definitely better than games created by studios such as Microsoft and EA, was made by a group of inspired guys in their basement. Hats off to Team Cherry. Seriously. If I could buy this game five times I would.
Choccy out.
